Toyota C-HR 2020: New Look, Same Audacity

In 2020, Toyota gives a more daring look to its C-HR. With new distinctive signs on the outside, and more luxury inside and under the hood: the unique model of Toyota gets even more personality!

The C-HR combines the fever of the sports coupe, the unique style of the hatchback and the versatility of a compact city car.

These outward signs of audacity and personality were enjoyed from day one. The CH-R is a patchwork of style, power and comfort for those who get behind the wheel.

For the 2020 edition, Toyota’s designers decided to further emphasise its unique look.

The CH-R, a super-stylish concept vehicle
When Toyota first presented its newborn, we saw a stylish concept vehicle, down to the last detail.

For this 2020 version, Toyota redesigned the front (headlights, bumper and grille), tested new colours and interior fittings, and added on C-HR LE, XLE Premium and Limited some luxury accessories and technological elements which were high-end worthy.

More teeth
What emerges from the CH-R 2020 aesthetic improvements is a global feeling of more teeth, with more streamlines and tapered curves. The headlights blend into the wings, lines run from the emblem to the central part of the car, the hatchback roof is accentuated, the quarter panels are sculpted…

We also get a few new tones: Pearly Blizzard, Metallic Eclipse Blue, Metallic Magnetic Gray, Pearly Black Sand and Metallic Gunmetal Silver, and also Supersonic Red and Burning Lava. The white roof disappears in favour of a silver one, reminded by light touches on the windshield and exterior mirrors.

The ‘MeZone’ Takes Over the Cabin
The cabin is not left apart. The space is cleared, and the driver is pampered with the ‘MeZone’.

The dashboard has been tilted to widen the view and facilitate access to controls. New storage spaces are discreetly added. Ultra quiet insulation makes it more user-friendly than ever.

Here and there, touches of sensual and pleasant materials can be found, as well as a roof lining for the LE and Limited versions. On the XLE, we get a brand new blue and black interior, especially on the dashboard and the quilting of the seats. On the Limited, a black and brown option with silver highlights adds to a classy work on the seats. The Limited version does even better with its ambient lighting and leather standard!

The 2020 Toyota C-HR LE has standard equipment worthy of the high-end: leather-gear shifter, heated bucket seats, automatic temperature control, heated exterior mirrors, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, hands-free phone mode, advanced voice recognition to name but a few!

On the XLE Premium version, we now get 18-inch alloy wheels, the Smart Key, a blind spot monitor and a gadget which appeals to many lovers of this model: a ground projection of ‘Toyota C-HR’.

Beauty can also be seen inside
Under the hood, the engine of the C-HR is a 4-cylinder 2-litre with 144 horsepower.

Toyota’s TNGA platform gives the 2020 CH-R a lower centre of gravity and an exceptional structural rigidity, for remarkable flexibility on the road. New skid plates under the body reduce turbulence and improve the stability and performance of the CH-R, while the front suspension is helping with superior cornering precision and stabilisation.

And it all comes with the now standard of excellence that is the Toyota Safety System.
